A
massive 67% of burglaries are attempted through a
door, so how confident are we that the doors we are
selling can withstand such a statistic?
Everyone
accepts that security and energy efficiency are two
of the hottest topics when improving your home.
That is why we supply doors that are easy to
achieve Secured By Design - from as little as £14 –
you can add the latest security updates to your door
to ensure you have confidence in the product you are
buying.
One of
the most recent updates to further improve the
security of the doors is to offer the high security
cylinder
as standard. Traditionally an optional
extra - and so an extra cost - the anti-bump
cylinder counters the problem of bump keys.
'Bumping', a
big issue, is a simple method of
releasing a lock with minimal effort using readily
available tools and leaving no
visible sign of
attack, something that can affect insurance claims.
You can now relax with this additional security
feature included for no extra cost.
Secured
by Design is the UK Police flagship initiative
supporting the principles of "designing out crime"
by use of effective crime prevention and security
standards for a range of applications.
Of
course a good way for you to judge the overall
security credentials of a door is with Secured by
Design certification. Many composite doors are
offered with Secured by Design, but not many
suppliers make it easy for customers to buy them. We
aim to make it as easy and cost effective as
possible for our customers to achieve Secured by
Design.
For example the recent update to all
hardware to
the Yale suite as standard, which means
only minimal upgrades are needed to achieve Secured
by Design.
The
Home Office, quoting the two in three statistics,
states that as well as
ensuring your front and back
doors are secure homeowners should fit devices such
as door viewers. We have recently announced the
launch of the Yale
Electronic viewer available on
any of our doors - the advanced viewer allows you to
record every visitor by saving time stamped images
of any visitors who may have called while you have
been out.
